A-Maize-ing Joy's Life card

I just adore this pun! The challenge this week was to use Orange, green and brown. I used this pun from the It's All Fall puns set and an image from my cricut.
The papers are from We R Memory Keepers. The ink is clearsnap. I embossed the card with a spellbinders embossing folder.

Some misc Clearsnap projects

This is a notebook that I got for a quarter at a back to school sale. I covered it in a couple layers of Gesso, then pressed the crackle molding mat into it. After that I sprayed it with the new Stephanie Barnard Dye ink in Banana, then ran the Banana ink pad over the texture for a little more definition. The muslin was hand cut and then stamped with the Rollograph and three colors of stephanie Barnard dye ink. The chipboard was gesso'd then sprayed with Dye ink in Orange, then inked with some brown chalk ink. The trims are Hydrangea Hippo.

This card was inspired by my daughter's dress (seen below). I used a couple different colors of Stephanie Barnard dye ink, and masked the Hero Arts stamp.

My Little Shoebox DREAM banner with Aiko

I made this banner, using the Aiko line for the My little Shoebox blog. For more details you can see my post over there HERE. I wanted the feel of this banner to reflect the theme, so I made the strings of cherry blossoms hanging whimsically like rain drops. A little bit of shine adds to the whimsy.

Joy's Life Thanksgiving Leaves card

When Joy asked us to use leaves this week, I couldn't wait to break out my new (used) gypsy and see what I could find on there. I got it from Ebay pre-loaded with a bunch of cartridges. Sure, I have a list of the carts that are on there, but I don't have all the images memorized. This cut was a pair of leaves. I cut two pairs from each of two We R Memory Keepers patterned papers.

I wanted to evoke the idea of falling leaves. After I got them on there, I decided it needed something - but not too much, so I outlined the leaves. Then the sentiment needed something, so I underlined it. Love this sentiment from the It's All Fall stamp set

this is for the dare to be sassy challenge to use fall colors and the papertake weekly autumn challenge.

Webster's Pages challenge layout

I have been playing with mixed media lately and created this page for the webster's pages august trends challenge.

Most of this page is Webster's Pages girl land. For the background I used a crafter's workshop template and applied some modeling paste, then let it dry. After it was dry I put the mask back and lightly went over the design with some lilac Clearsnap ink. I also misted the background for more dimension with some Clearsnap smooch spritz and some Tattered angels glimmer mist.

Skipping Stones New Release Hop

Welcome to the Skipping Stones new release blog hop for the set 'Cheers'! You should have arrived here from Karen's blog. If you are just randomly stopping by, you might want to head back to the beginning of the hop as there is lots of inspiration and give the sketch a shot for a chance to win!

This new stamp set "Cheers" is so much fun! I used the drink border, the individual martini glass and the Happy Birthday sentiment. After I stamped the drinks, I colored them in with pastel pencils on the red wine and olives, and a watercolor pencil on the white wine. Then I added some glossy accents for some dimension. Thanks for stopping by! Now you want to be heading onto Julie's blog

Here's the order for reference.

Joy's Life It's All Fall Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joy's Life "It's All Fall" Blog hop!
This month we are celebrating the new fall stamp set - which is my new favorite! Check it out! How cute is that?!

I could not wait to use this fun stamp! Here is what I created:

It's a lunch bag with a turkey that I die cut with my cricut and the adorable 'Gobble' stamp.
I had intended to use this to create a hostess gift or something, but now I'm thinking it might be cute to use it as a lunch bag and surprise my daughter one day, near thanksgiving.

You should have arrived here from Lori
and if not, you might want to go back to the beginning and start at Joy's blog. (There are prizes all along the way!)

Here is the list for reference.

But before you go anywhere... Here is my prize (US residents only please):

This is modeling paste. It's my new favorite thing! I have been using it with stencils to create raised designs, but there are a million uses for it! I need to try putting a layer down and using an embossing folder or something to create a texture in it.

All you have to do is be or become a follower and leave me a comment, I will pick a random winner! Easy peasy!

and now you are off to the lovely Stacey's blog!

Skipping Stones Grunge card

If you are popping over from the Skipping Stones Designs blog, welcome! Today I am showcasing the Grunge 2 set. I love how masculine and versatile this set is! I don't make a lot of masculine cards, so I don't have a lot of masculine stamps. I love it when those stamps can go the extra mile.

I certainly went the extra mile on the masking here! I stamped the film strip first, then the sentiment. I masked the sentiment and then stamped the zig zags. Then I masked the zig zags and stamped the dot texture.

The discoloration in the orange zig zags is because I didn't clean my stamp properly after testing it out with black. I kind of like it like that though! It adds to the grungy feel, don't you think?

I used the pagemaps card challenge sketch for this card.

My Little Shoebox and Unity Blog hop

Hello and thanks for hopping with us today. We are so pleased to share our new Co-Branded stamps with Unity Stamp Co. Make sure you leave a comment on each blog to win one of the fabulous prizes from Unity Stamp Co and My Little Shoebox. Winners will be chosen at random from the participating blogs.

This is the fabulous stamp set that I got to work with! I love how there are two doilies - a negative and a positive! I decided to make a card and heat emboss the doily stamp. I love the way the embossing makes it look like lace, with the bumpy texture.

I used the paper and sticker from the Vintage shop line and popped the sticker up on some foam tape. I loved these stamps so much that I kept them out on my desk for my next Vintage shop project which will be showing up on the My Little Shoebox blog later this month.

Now it’s time for me to send you on over to Jimmi’s blog

Joy's Life Fall Door Hanging

This week Joy asked us to create a home decor item. I had been wanting to make a new door hanging so I took this opportunity to do so. I always save my old wreaths and things, so I had this stuff lying around.
I used the pumpkin and 'Happy Fall Y'All' stamps from the new It's All Fall puns set.

The frame is a crate paper label sticker from last fall's line. I cut the middle out and put kraft cardstock there instead. The acorn stickers are We R Memory keepers. That fun ribbon is May Arts.

Stamped Transparency Card and winner

This card is for the Simon Says stamp, stamptember challenge, and also the hero arts monthly challenge. I used the color inspiration from the hero arts challenge.

The paper is Teresa Collins. The stamps are Hero Arts. The ink and embossing powder are Clearsnap. Yep, that sentiment is heat embossed on Hambly transparency!

Sorry it took me so long to pick the winner. I admit I totally forgot! But the winner from the joy's life cri-kits blog hop is lucky number 1! I will need your address Linda.

Stamped with words card

I made this card at my weekend crop - which I will have a lot more posts about. I used the theresa collins 6x6 paper pack, a sizzix and a spellbinders die, some webster's pages ribbon and some hero arts and a skipping stones stamp.

I stamped the die cuts with the text stamp and then eat embossed it in clear.

This card is for the Simon says stamp and show challenge to use text. It is also for the pink elephant pattern paper challenge and the charisma cardz challenge to use double - I used two stamps from two different stamp companies.

Clearsnap Double page smooch spritz layout

I made this double page layout for the Clearsnap blog. You can see more details and a full tutorial over there. I wanted this layout to be as bright, fun and artsy as my daughter!
